Introduction to home care costs

We know that understanding the costs of home care can feel overwhelming, so we strive to make it as simple as possible.

We understand the stress that comes with arranging home care for yourself or a loved one. That’s why we aim to keep things clear and straightforward when it comes to pricing.

Home care costs will vary based on your needs. Visiting care is charged by the hour, while live-in or 24-hour care is quoted at a daily rate for short-term respite or a weekly rate for ongoing care. We’ll work with you to find the right level of care and ensure that the costs are manageable for you and your family.

The reason our clients trust us is because we're

Upfront about everything

Transparent Pricing:
We’re open about our costs – you’ll only pay what’s agreed in your care plan, with no hidden fees or long notice periods.

Not a care agency

Ali Gibson Support is a private care provider, not an agency. We always put our clients first.

Can accept direct payments

If you receive funding through social services and have opted for direct payments, we can accept top-ups to these payments.

Can I get financial support to pay for my care?

What We Do

In England, you will need to pay for your care in full if your assets, including most investments and savings, exceed £23,250.

If your assets are greater than this amount, your local authority will assess you as able to pay for your care independently.

However, it’s important to note that the value of your property is not considered when it comes to integrated care within your own home.

If you’re unsure about your financial situation, you can request a Financial Assessment from your local council. This assessment will evaluate your financial means and determine whether:

  • The council will pay for your care in full

  • The council will contribute towards your care costs

  • You will be responsible for paying the full cost  of your  care
